4 Wheel Alignment Vs. Thrust Angle Alignment

There are 2 primary types of alignments. A 4 wheel alignment is adjusting the front and rear angles of your vehicle. It has nothing to do with your vehicle being a 4 wheel or 2 wheel drive. Most of today's car have adjustments for front and real alignment angles. A thrust angle alignment is often referred to as a 2 wheel alignment. This is because only the front alignment angles are adjusted. It is called a thrust angle alignment because the front alignment angles are adjusted to match the thrust angle. Your thrust angle is the angle your rear axle is pointed.
